Mini Excavator Measurements
There are 6 main measurements to keep in mind to ensure a proper fit for the mini excavator quick hitch:
- Mini excavator arm width should equal length "1" from diagram above
- Mini excavator bucket mounting pins, should have same diameter as diameter "2" on the diagram above
- Distance between mounting pins on the OEM mini excavator bucket should equal distance "3" on the diagram above. Measurements should be taken between the centers of the pins
- Most likely distance "1" and "4" will be the same, but that is not always the case. Sometimes a mini excavator quick hitch / quick coupler can be made as an adapter to allow the mounting of smaller attachments on a larger excavator.
- Similarly to "1" and "4" from the diagram above, distance "2" and "5" from the diagram above should be the same, but it never hurts to double check.
- Distance "6" from the diagram above can vary depending on the design of the mini excavator quick hitch / quick coupler. If you are looking for a dedicated quick coupler, then distance "6" must be the same as distance "3" on the diagram above. If you are looking for a multi pin mini excavator quick coupler, then distance "6" will actually be a range and the quick hitch will be able to accept mini excavator attachments with different distances between pins as long as they fall within that range.
